Travel

Whether I’m at home or on the road, I hold my photography to the same standards. It doesn’t matter that I have a fraction of the time to and equipment I focus on what’s important: exploring our world!

Travel has taught me that all people, regardless of where we live, have the same core needs and responsibilities. We’ve all got to eat, sleep, work, take care of ourselves, get from here to there, raise a family, and talk to our friends. What fascinates me photographically, are all the many different ways that the same things can look around the world. When I’m on the road, I photograph almost everything I see: buildings, food stalls, beds, schools, hospitals, transportation, homes, phones, trash cans, water pipes, laundry…anything to get the picture.

Portrait

I take Portraits that are a little out of the box. You see it’s OK to have a portrait that follows all the rules – but often the most striking portraits are those that break all the rules.

I like to look at ways to break out of the mold and take striking portraits by breaking (or at least bending) the rules and adding a little randomness to my portrait photography.

Digital Art

The techniques of digital art are used extensively by the mainstream media in advertisements, and by film-makers to produce special effects. Desktop publishing has had a huge impact on the publishing world, although that is more related to graphic design. Both digital and traditional artists use many sources of electronic information and programs to create their work.
Digital art can be purely computer-generated (such as fractals and algorithmic art) or taken from other sources, such as a scanned photograph or an image drawn using vector graphics software using a mouse or graphics tablet. Though technically the term may be applied to art done using other media or processes and merely scanned in, it is usually reserved for art that has been thoughtfully created by programs such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.

Fashion

I have a unique style which has proved successful in the world of fashion and glamour photography. The importance of light metering, creating a web presence and studio space are of paramount importance.

The Photoshop techniques I use when creating images are extremely important for a unique image . Post-production workflow like skin smoothing, cleaning up backgrounds and working with channels are so important.

Creating images with high tonal contrast, adding noise and color tint are just a few of the techniques and also working in raw image formats.
